Irene Abramian is of Armenian descent, was born and raised in Sweden and has lived in the US for a little over 10 years. Coming from a multi-cultural background, Irene has always had an interest in the interactions of people, whether on a global scale or on an individual level.
She believes that people are innately communal and that the bridge between the individual and the community can be constructed with words. Journalism has the power to connect people, which is something Irene hopes to explore as part of the El Vaquero team.
