Suspicious Package Interrupts Classes

Students and faculty evacuate the Arroyo Seco building after a suspicious package was found yesterday.

A suspicious package was found in the Arroyo Seco Building yesterday around 12:30 p.m. causing campus police to evacuate the building. The Glendale Police were also called in for assistance. Lot F at the north end of the building and the entrance area outside the San Gabriel Building near the Math Discovery Center were taped off. The Glendale P.D. bomb squad was contacted, but the owner of the package was located and the bomb squad was cancelled when no threat was found. The package turned out to be a school project left unattended.

Students, who had gathered in Plaza Vaquero, were allowed to return to the building after about 45 minutes.
