New officers were elected last week to fill positions in ASGCC [Asssociated Students of Glendale Community College] for the spring semester.

Hrach Orujyan, current student president, said of the voting process: “I think elections went very smoothly.”

“Unfortunately, we have a limited amount of positions open and the candidates worked very hard to gather votes. Right after Fall semester is over the new ASGCC executive committee will start working on recruitment for the legislature’s appointed positions.

“We? will be doing classroom visitations and trying to reach out to all the communities of the GCC to get a diverse group of people to sign up for the interviews for the five appointed positions in the legislature. We will be appointing one representative for each committee.”
