Anashen Navasartian was born  in Tehran, Iran. She moved to the United Stated in June 2012 and soon after started attending Glendale Community College.
At GCC she rediscovered her passion for film and television, which is why she joined both the Film Collective and the El Vaquero Newspaper - to pursue that passion.
Anashen started as the camera operator for El Vaq News, and is now the Broadcast Director.
She is a film major and hopes to become the first female Armenian director and pave the road for all those who want to follow their  passion.
