Vaqueros Sports Briefs





WOMEN’S SOCCER

The Vaqueros are now 2-2 after beating Cuesta 3-2 on Sept. 3 and then falling
to Santa Barbara 3-0 Sept. 6. Liliana Leon scored two goals in the win
over Cuesta and Michelle Vega scored once. Glendale hosts Mission Sept. 10
at 2 p.m. at the Glendale Sports Complez and plays at Moorpark Sept.
13.

MEN’S SOCCER

Glendal fell to 1-2
with a 4-0 loss to Harbor on Sept. 3. The Vaqueros host Palomar
at 4 p.m. Sept. 10 at the Glendale Sports Complex and play at
Fullerton on Sept. 12.

FOOTBALL

The Vaqueros open up the 2002 season at Pasadena at 7 p.m. Sept.
14. Glendale is coming off a 7-4 season including a 28-13 win over
Fullerton in the U.S. Bank Beach Bowl. The Lancers come into the game ranked No.
2 in the nation according to J.C. Grid-Wire and finished 10-1 last year.
Pasadena defeated Glendale 54-17 in the season opener in 2001.

CROSS COUNTRY

The men and women open the 2002 season at the Ventura Invitational on
Sept. 13 at 3 p.m.
