Math instructor Kathy Holmes joined the Avon 3-Day Walk for Breast Cancer for the second time on Oct. 15 and raised $2,900. The 60-mile trek started in Santa Barbara and ended in Malibu. There were 2,909 walkers and together they raised over $4.6 million.
ASGCC hosted the comedic acts of Ernie G and Laura Ponte in Plaza Vaquero on Oct. 16.

Electric violinist, Alen Agadzhanyan, enchanted students and faculty alike on Thursday. The event, sponsored by ASGCC, took place in Plaza Vaquero. Agadzhanyan opened his repertoire by playing Tango and continued with Armenian Dance for the rest of the hour. “When you listen to music, your inner soul is relaxed and it gives you inner peace,” said Agadzhanyan.
Nov. 3 is the last day to withdraw from semester-length classes with a “W” notation.
The college will be closed on Nov. 12 in observance of Veterans’ Day.
Priority telephone registration (STARS) starts on Nov. 5 to 9 for the winter session.
Open telephone registration is Nov. 13 to Jan. 3.
The college will be closed from Nov. 22 to 24 for the Thanksgiving Holidays.
