The GCC Men’s Basketball Team recently participated in the Vaquero Classic, taking place in the Verdugo Gym. The tournament, which took place during the week of Dec. 16-19, 2009, featured eight teams from around the Southland and began at 7 p.m. nightly.

The Vaquero’s reached the championship finals, which were held on Dec. 19, by beating L.A. Harbor College and Rio Hondo College earlier in the week. The Vaquero’s lost in the final round to Moorpark College by a final score of 73 to 62.
