On April 7, GCC’s Research Across the Curriculum committee honored 30 students for their outstanding research projects in 2004-2005.
First Place: Tiffany Chiu for her reference-based research project on “Interracial Marriage” (Social Science 123, nominated by Richard Kamei). She was awarded a prize of $150.
Second Place (tie): Emerson Reyes’ project on “Fighting Terrorism vs. Individual Freedoms” (English 101, nominated by Michael Moreau) and Ludmila Gorokhov, Ji Hong and Michael Marines who did projects on Diabetes Education (Nursing Science 212, nominated by Kathy McNesse).
Third Place (tie): John Ruby for his project on “GCC and Financial Literacy” (Business Administration 106, nominated by Diane Young) and Natalie Albizo for her reference-based project “Caffeine: The legal High” (Speech 101, Andrea Stark).
