GCC Theater Arts Production ‘Silent Sky’ Running Nov. 18 – 20
“Silent Sky” written by Lauren Gunderson and directed by Theater Arts professor Jeanette D. Farr, will run in-person from Nov. 18 to Nov. 20 at the Verdugo campus. “The true story of 19th-century astronomer Henrietta Leavitt explores a woman’s place in society during a time of immense scientific and heart-bound discoveries,” the playwright’s website notes. “With music and math bursting forth onstage, Henrietta and her female peers change the way we understand both the heavens and Earth.” Farr, the director, serves as chair of Theater Arts at Glendale College, where she has produced and directed numerous plays.
The plays on Nov. 18 and 19 start at 7:30 p.m., while the Nov. 20 play will begin at 2 p.m. The events are in-person.
