Glendale Community College has been selected as a site for announcing the signing of SB 361 which was authored by California State Sen. Jack Scott.
SB 361 provides a source of funding equalization to community colleges to ensure that all students in the state are given the same funding base.
“This bill will have a direct and positive impact on Glendale Community College,” wrote GCC President/Superintendent Audre Levy in an e-mail to the campus.
The press conference will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Library.
“We will be hosting [California Community Colleges] Chancellor [Marshall] Drummond, Sen. Jack Scott and California State Secretary of Education Alan Bersin. The program has been planned by the Governor’s office,” wrote Levy.
