On Sept. 4, Los Angeles radio station 102.7 KISS FM filled Vaquero Plaza with music from noon to 1 p.m. The ASGCC-coordinated event was presented with aim of easing the tension of the opening day of school.
“It’s the first few weeks of school, and everyone feels uncomfortable,” said Edit Keshishyan, ASGCC vice president of activities. Several students took advantage of the time to relax in the shade and listen to the music. Pictured above is Gervell Byrd, a culinary arts student. ASGCC is planning on coordinating other events like this over the course of the semester.
