Students can save money and the hassle of finding parking on campus by using the park-and-ride shuttle service, which will be available this fall at half the price of a regular parking permit.

For $22.50 students can park at the off-site parking structure one half block north of the Ventura (134) Freeway at 701 Brand Blvd. From there, the shuttle service will transport riders to the GCC campus.

Designed to relieve the lot overcrowding that occurs the first six weeks of school, the GCC shuttle will run every half hour, beginning at 7:30 a.m. and will arrive at the college in about 20 minutes. Return shuttles begin at 8 a.m. with the last one departing from GCC at 3:30 p.m.

The regular permits allow parking in Lot B, Civic Structure, lots 30, 31, 32, 33 and 34.
