Classical music and flower laden tables greeted more than 100 attendees to the banquet hall of The Castaway restaurant in Burbank on June 11, for the annual scholarship awards banquet.

Glendale college students, families and faculty members, along with private donors gather to award scholarships to those students who have shown aptitude and need during the Spring 2009 semester.

The event which started at 6 p.m. lasted two hours, during which various awards were presented to students chosen by the scholarship donors.
