Eric Johnston, Anthropology professor at GCC, has partnered with Bone Clones, Inc. to bring a display of osteological reproductions of bones and fossils to the exhibit center of the Cimmarusti Science Center.

This exhibit, “Bones: The Hidden Structures of Life,” was more than eight months in the making. It features skulls and skeletons of creatures both extinct and extant reproduced in high grade polyurethane resin; the result is almost indistinguishable from the real thing.

Manufactured by Canoga Park-based Bone Clones, Inc., the replicas on display are typical of the compamy’s products used world-wide in educational disciplines from anthropology to zoology. The
originals (from which the molds were taken) are safely housed in some of the
finest museums and collections in the world.

The exhibit runs until Dec 10. The hours are 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
