Glendale Community College anthropology will be signing copies of and reading from her new book, “Empire of Dirt: The Aesthetics and Rituals of British Indie Music,” today at 7 p.m. at the Heritage Wine Company and Tasting Bar, at 155 N. Raymond Ave. in Pasadena.

Fonarow will also show some film clips and answer questions about her research. Fonarow has years of experience in various areas of the independent music scene.
