Los Angeles (AP) – Authorities issued a child abduction alert Saturday, warning a 5-year-old boy was kidnapped in Pasadena.

Hector Jesus Gonzales is about 3 feet tall and weighs 45 pounds. He has black hair and was last seen wearing a dark blue sweater, light blue striped shirt and blue sweatpants. He was abducted from 880 N. Euclid Avenue about 12:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

Pasadena police say the boy’s mother is a suspect. Lourdes Caro Hernandez was driving a tan or beige Ford Thunderbird with an unknown out-of-state license plate.

Authorities believe the boy is in danger.
