Coming off its biggest conference victory in several years against Citrus College 72-70 on Jan. 8, the Glendale men’s basketball team could not maintain their momentum as they dropped a pair of Western State Conference (WSC) Southern Division games last week.
They fell to West Los Angeles College 72-63 last Wednesday and then lost to College of the Canyons 80-64 Saturday night at home.

In the loss to Canyons, Vaquero sophmore guard Nikolas Rhodes, the WSC South Player of the Week last week, led Glendale with 21 points and seven assists, with freshman guard Nate Bryant added 13 points.
Now 14-7 overall and tied for second in the WSC South with three teams at 3-2, the Vaqueros will try to get back on track when they hit the road this week at Bakersfield today at 5 p.m. and at Los Angeles Valley College Saturday.
The Vaqueros next home game will be Feb. 2 against Santa Monica City College at 5 p.m.
