One of Glendale College’s longest-running events, “Dance Performance (2011)” was held Dec. 9 through 11.
It featured choreography and performances by students, alumni and faculty from the dance production and jazz performance skills classes and was directed by Dora Krannig and Lynn McMurrey.
Overall 15 different numbers were presented to a full house at the Mainstage Auditorium.
The Company performed seven sets, its members are Shannon Ary, Brittany Benson, Kalee Beverly, Hannah Blaisdell, Emma Dean, Nara Gasparian, Parker Harris, Gabriela Hernandez, Bong Hoang, Marissa Hoffman, Aliem Jiles, Yu Kato, Nonouk Khachatourians, Rebecca Mendiola, Joshua Pacheco, Myoungguk Park, Amanda Richardson, Amanda Riley, Karin Santiago, Miko Shaffer, Chelsea Vick and Robin Ward.
Smaller groups of Company members performed in five assorted numbers.
The Henna and Dates Dance Company consists of Josie Belfiore, Kathryn Chew, Reshama Damle, Erica Endoh, Yesenia Puccio, Coel Risley, Shanna Shih, Patricia Voege, Angela Winger and Masa Zokaei, and they contributed two performances.
The final performance of the evening was “Smoke A Little Smoke” performed by The Company and choreographed by Lynn McMurrey (his first western).

The students of the Jazz Performance Skills class: Leslie Acuna, Brittany Benson, Hannah Mary-Ellen Blaisdell, Alexis Cambon, Miguel Casillas, Vanessa Catalan, Kenrick Cocom, Amanda Fear,Jose Garcia, Deborah Guluan, Parker Harris*, Erika Herrera, Naiah Hines, Bong Hoang*, Marissa Hoffman*, Yu Kato* and Nonouk Khachatourians*, performed one piece.
Last, but certainly not least, guest artists Reonaldo Cho, Daniel Kim and Joseph Gurrola also performed.
